Hey everyone! Today I wanted to let you get to know my little bathroom a bit more. I’ve taken pics of the entire room (that makes it sound big lol) for you to see. Here they are, starting with the left hand blank wall when you walk in.
Here you can see there is nothing but a lonely, gold towel hanger. There are three lovely gold towel hangers in here to take down. My boyfriend has been put on that task to get them down today. Now here are the pics of the rest of the room.. the blank space over the toilet (perfect place for some floating shelves), the right hand wall with the brown cabinet that will stay and get a paint job plus the back of the door. I found this organizational hack on Pinterest and it’s perfect for a small room!
Now that you see what I have to work with you can get an idea of how far I have to go. As I shared my goals with you last week (painting walls, artwork, floating shelves) I have a clear vision of where I want this room to go. Finally, let me share witho yu today the color I am going to sample on the walls. It’s called “Sea Salt” from Sherwin Williams. It’s the color on the right and I think it’s totally gorgeous and can’t wait to get a bit of it upon the walls!
As I’ve said before, this is a rental and there are a lot of things I can’t do. I would like to change the flooring, light fixtures and paint the vanity but those are things I’m not allowed to do. Instead of dwelling on the “can’ts” I’m focusing on the “cans”. I am allowed to paint, thankfully, or I would go crazy in this white box! I will probably change out the cabinet hardware too (add that to my to do list) to some I already have. We’re also allowed to hang things up, as in make holes. I’ve heard of some landlords that won’t allow that! gosh that would be awful and limit my decor very much. Those floating shelves will take quite a few nail holes but they’ll be worth having to patch them when they have to come down one day.
That’s it for today… lots of before pics, ideas and ramblings about the rental fact. I hope you have some before pics of the rooms you’re working on. It’s always fulfilling for me to see the before and after of a room. I’m so pleased to see the result of my hard work!
I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day wherever you are! Shoot me some pics of what you’ve been working on. I’d really love to see them!
