]]> http://gypsy-couture.com/blog/2011/04/07/overwhelmed-with-love/feed/ 2 Store Closing Sale! http://gypsy-couture.com/blog/2011/04/03/store-closing-sale/ http://gypsy-couture.com/blog/2011/04/03/store-closing-sale/#comments Sun, 03 Apr 2011 15:13:15 +0000 LM http://gypsy-couture.com/blog/?p=1295 I’ve had to make the super hard decision to retire from designing.  Health issues, most notably Rheumatoid Arthritis, have made it impossible for me to spend much time using the computer lately.  I know you’ve seen the decline in my new releases lately and that is the cause.  There is just no way I can keep up with any type work schedule any more as I never know from day to day what I will be able to do.  This is totally tearing my heart out my friends!  I’ve always had to work around some health problems but always managed to keep up with what I wanted to do.  I’m just not able to do that anymore.  It’s so sad and frustrating, to say the least!  Unfortunately my wonderfully rewarding time designing has to come to an end.

I’ve been blessed over the years by having you, friends and followers, who supported and encouraged me through life’s ups and downs.  Thank you for that from the bottom of my heart!

To my darling creative team girls, let me say it one more time, you ladies have been my rock!  I could NOT have done this without your love and encouragement.  You all mean the world to me and it has been an honor to have you by my side!

For the incredibly talented and amazing designers and staff at Scrapbookgraphics, WOW!  I was welcomed with open arms from day 1 and really felt at home at SBG.  It has been a privilege to be among the most talented and kind designers.  I thank you for your constant advice, encouragement and friendship. I will miss you all terribly!

What will I be doing next?  I don’t have a clue.  I believe that when God closes a door, He opens a window.  I know I will continue to use my love of design in some way and that there is a plan for my future. :)   I will keep this blog going with my thoughts, fears, ideas and wanderings.  As of April 15th, I will change it back to Gypsy Couture.  This is all VERY scary for me but I’m hanging on!

Now that you know the down and dirty of all this you can go have some FUN in my shop!  You have until April 14th to grab all you can because when Studio Gypsy closes, these products will be gone FOREVER.  That sounds so final it’s almost creepy lol

It’s been a hectic few weeks here in Gypsyland.  A few weeks ago my Mom developed a “mysterious illness”, took a trip in an ambulance (on the exact day we had more snow that I’ve ever seen in my life) and spent 4 days in the hospital.   After test after test after test, they thought she had pneumonia and sent her home.

Two days later we were in another ER, got a real diagnosis of pneumonia, lots of meds and they sent her home.  She’s recovering now which is proving to be a very slow process!  Needless to say I was under a lot of stress and ended up physically and mentally exhausted.  Last week I was lucky to get out of bed to take care of her much less be able to design!  I’m feeling better myself and finally able to settle down and stop the constant worrying and fretting that we all do when a loved one is sick.  You know what I mean!

Without further ado, here is my new kit for this week, Rural Chic!  I hope you enjoy it!

I’m really happy with how this turned out and I hope you adore it as much as I do!  Here is some great inspiration from the creative team and the Crew!

I’m so impressed with the variety of layouts the girls always pull from the same kit!  I always work hard to make my kits versatile and the girls show that off so well!

I’ve also added Shabby Sweet, my part of the Sugary, Sweet and Shabby Grab Bag Collab to my store.  You can grab it now if you didn’t get the grab bag!

On a side note, I’ve changed the site I use for sending my newsletters and I’m worried that some of your emails didn’t get into the new system!  If you subscribed but are not getting your newsletter please sign up again!  I’m so sorry about this!!  One little frustration we don’t need, right?! lol
